nature calls

It’s September now, which means is officially Fall!  So I’m suddenly whisked away to my childhood memories of Bambi and playing in the yard.  Most of Kaua’i actually felt like a foresty wilderness to my tiny adventurer self–Koke’e, the Koa tree perimeter of my elementary school, my backyard.  And perhaps the shifting winds have inspired my latest kick..

Here ye, here ye, me wooden log pillows 😉  I had different intentions with this fun Joel Dewberry fabric but I just couldn’t resist experimenting.  Whattya know, I’m in log bliss.

Ahh so many more woodland animals and fun to dream about now. But while reality keeps tick-tocking, I’ll pack these buggers up for the Hawai’i Woman Expo this weekend. Join my 4 talented artsy fartsey friends and I at our huge 20-foot HIFI booth (#303 + 304) along the Diamond Head wall of the Blaisdell exhibition hall.  Friday 5-9, Saturday 10-6, & Sunday 10-5. $1 off coupons for admission are in the Long’s ad and midweek inserts!  You’ll wanna see the Angry Ladybug, Twisted Cuts, Mamanu Kids and ME+U designs we’re bringing 🙂
How to see you there!  Hoot hoo

  1. What a busy summer it has been! Don’t know if you have seen the stunning fabric collection called Stonehenge Woodland @ http://www.northcott.com. I have been hired to make a quilt for a dear friend in the summer/spring colorway. The log pillows would be a fantastic addition! I will be sure to tell her about it!
