amazing keiki

Last week I had my first keiki student–and it was so Hip Skippity GREAT!

Look at this girl go!  No one would guess without seeing a pic that the girl who made a 3-layered skirt in under 2 hours while teaching me Hawaiian and doing her funny happy dances is only 8!  Yes, 8 🙂

I wonder what I would be doing now if I had started that early!

Well, we had a blast and I think this means that this won’t be the end of my keiki classes.  Our new generations of sponges can easily keep this craft thriving and sustain our growing, local manufacturing needs.  Can I hear a “hoo ra?!”  Stay tuned for more about kids sewing classes…

Until then, I’m sending a shout out and a high five to this great inspiration of mine…  Hulo sweet girl!
